MODEL HOUSE
The first project of the foundation is the DIVINE MERCY SHELTER I- BAYANIHAN ESTATE which is to be distributed to Oversees Filipino Workers. This is a joint project of the Divine Mercy Shelter and Development Foundation Inc. and the Christian Federation for Socialized Housing Inc. which aims to follow the guidelines of the Community Mortgage Program (CMP) of the government with some modifications to accelerate or fast track the mobilization and completion of the Project.
The Proposed DIVINE MERCY SHELTER I- Bayanihan Estate shall exclusively be for families of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW). It is a tribute by the Divine Mercy Shelter and Development Foundation Inc. and the Christian Federation for Socialized Housing Inc. to the OFW for their heroism and sacrifices for their families and our country. The spirit of “Bayanicracy” among OFW, which is a natural trait of Filipino courage in times of severe crisis for survival has prevailed and has contributed to the nation’s survival during the recent global financial crisis.
Thus, the DIVINE MERCY SHELTER I- Bayanihan Estate is a landmark tribute to the new generation of unsung Heroes-the OFWs. The lots will be distributed to OFW members only and shall be paid by the latter within a period of 5-years with no interest.
The DIVINE MERCY SHELTER I- Bayanihan Estate has a total area of approximately 2.5 Hectares.
